BOHEMIA, N.Y. – North Atlantic Industries Inc. in Bohemia, N.Y., is introducing the 56XS1 2,000 Watt AC/DC stand-alone EMI-compliant power supply for rugged defense and industrial applications. The 56XS1 converts either three-phase, AC input or 270-volt DC input into one DC output at 2,000 Watts.

The 56XS1 operates at full load in temperatures from -55 to 85 degrees Celsius, and is designed with NAVMAT component derating, and has been tested and qualified to MIL-STD and DO-160 specifications.

Additional features include remote error sensing, current share, output inhibit, background built-in-test (BIT) and rugged protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, over-temperature, and short circuits.

The power distribution option provides four fault-isolated output groups. Each group can be enabled independently through discrete signal or RS-485. Operating status for each group can be queried through the RS-485 serial bus.

The 56XS1 has been designed in accordance with MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and MIL-STD-704A-F to withstand the harsh environmental conditions required for aerospace and military applications.
