Tell me more about hollow-core linear voice coil servo motors ...

  • Hollow-core linear voice coil servo motors are high-precision actuators that use a magnetic field to create linear motion. They consist of a coil placed in a cylindrical hollow core for minimal moving mass and fast response times. The coil interacts with a permanent magnet field to generate force and offer smooth and accurate movement. These motors are efficient and are often used in applications where space is limited or precision is required, such as in optical systems, laser alignment, and industrial automation. Their design minimizes friction and wear and results in long operational life and low maintenance. They also offer high-force-to-weight ratios and can be integrated easily into compact systems.

The HVCM-095-064-051-01 servo motor has a continuous force rating of 15.4 pounds and a peak force of 48.6 pounds at a 10 percent duty cycle. The non-commutated long-life brushless linear servo motor offers high acceleration and deceleration, zero cogging, and zero backlash when connected directly to a load.

The 2-inch-diameter open aperture of the HVCM-095-064-051-01 hollow-core voice coil linear servo motor, also called a moving coil motor, is 3.75 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches long at mid-stroke.

Two threaded 10-32 UNF-2B X 0.38 deep mounting holes on 2.75-inch centers in the housing and coil ends offer flexible and easy integration into new and existing applications. For more information contact Moticont online at www.moticont.com/hollow-voice-coil-motor.htm.
