Rugged OpenVPX data storage for aerospace and defense applications introduced by Concurrent Technologies

Concurrent Technologies offers three storage modules, all based on the OpenVPX standard, with SATA connectivity for reliability and high throughput.

WOBURN, Mass. – Concurrent Technologies Inc. in Woburn, Mass., is working together with Vanguard Rugged Storage in Boulder, Colo., to introduce VPX data storage systems for aerospace and defense applications.

Concurrent Technologies is offering three storage modules, all based on the OpenVPX standard with SATA connectivity for reliable operation and high throughput rates.

The TR MS6/522 is a 3U VPX board fitted with two fixed solid-state drives for as much as 16 terabytes of capacity in air-cooled applications.

The TR MS6/523 also is a 3U format module that offers one front-removable solid-state drive for rugged conduction-cooled applications.

The VR MS6/524 is a 6U air-cooled board with two front removable solid state drives. Further developments on these drives are in progress, and should to be available later in 2020, company officials say.
