Models range from a low-cost IP54-compliant 7-inch model with low power consumption to 8- and 10-inch industrial and military models meeting MIL-STD 810F.

WALTHAM, Mass., 16 Aug. 2012. Industrial Computing in Waltham, Mass., is introducing its Rugged Tablet PCs for a range of applications and requirements. Models range from a low-cost IP54-compliant 7-inch model with low power consumption to 8- and 10-inch industrial and military models meeting MIL-STD 810F.

All models can be configured or redesigned to meet specific OEM requirements, Industrial Computing officials say.

All models have sunlight-readable screens and programmable keys come on certain models. A 64 key keyboard is offered on one model. Ultra low power consumption allows battery life for as long as nine hours. Also available is a hot-swappable dual battery model for extended use in the field.

Options are available, including serial and USB ports, RFID, cameras, Ethernet, WiFi, barcode, Bluetooth and expansion slots for additional memory or OEM designed products. Docking stations and GPS also are available.
