·       Ultra-precise measurement of linear acceleration

·       Robust, reliable, low noise

Silicon Sensing latest accelerometer, Zenith®, has been released to the market.

Zenith (CAS150/170) is a closed-loop, single-axis micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometer designed for precision-critical applications.

Built on Silicon Sensing’s field-proven MEMS and electronic architecture, Zenith introduces a significant reduction in noise over its predecessor, the Gemini. This generational leap delivers superior signal clarity while retaining the rugged, field-tested pedigree required for mission-critical deployments.

Kevin Swain, Head of Sales and Business Development at Silicon Sensing Systems Ltd, says: “Using our field-proven MEMS architecture, Zenith offers a robust, non-ITAR, low SWaP-C solution for key defence platforms. We see massive potential across autonomous systems, space, and aviation, as well as for a wide range of land and maritime operations.”

Zenith combines low noise spectral density for superior signal clarity, with a robust ±14g dynamic range, enabling accurate data capture in demanding conditions. The surface-mountable sensor is available in two package options: the CAS150 (in-plane) and CAS170 (orthogonal) sensing configurations. This versatile setup enables engineers to achieve full multi-axis measurement on a single printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), maximising spatial efficiency without sacrificing performance.
