MANSFIELD, Mass., 18 Dec. 2009. Murata Power Solutions in Mansfield, Mass., is introducing the 15-Watt maximum output power OKI-T/3-W40 series power supply for use with 24-volt DC input range power conversion applications that require a low voltage DC source for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and microprocessors.

The OKI-T/3-W40 series 3-amp output current surface mount DC-DC converter is part of Murata Power's family of Okami non-isolated, DOSA compliant pinout, point-of-load (PoL) power electronics devices.

The 15-Watt maximum output power converter has an input range of 16 to 40 volts DC and a programmable output voltage of 0.75 to 5.5 volts DC. The power management device is able to drive as many as 1,000 microfarad ceramic capacitors.

The OKI-T/3-W40 device has on/off control, over-temperature, over-current, and under-voltage lock out (UVLO) protection. It measures 0.82 by 0.47 by 0.34 inches, and operates in temperatures from -40 ti 85 degrees Celsius.

The device meets standard UL/EN/IEC 60950-1 safety certifications and complies with RoHS-6 lead-free solder regulations. For more information contact Murata Power online at www.murata-ps.com.
